California State University, Dominguez Hills, was established in 1960 and is one of the 23 campuses that comprise The California State University system. Located on a 346-acre site in the South Bay portion of the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, CSU Dominguez Hills has a highly pluralistic student body, which includes a significant number of non-traditional, working adult students as well as approximately 2,000 students enrolled in distance learning programs statewide. Position Information:

This is a full-time, permanent (probationary) position.

Special Working Conditions: This position may require the incumbent to be on-call 24/7 to assist in revolving emergency or urgent issues. The incumbent is required to maintain contact with their campus outside of their normal working hours on a regular basis via the separate On Call Procedures. Remote contact shall include telephone, cell phone, wireless data access device, remote monitoring of any hardware or software device, and/or electronic mail notification regarding the status of a campus system.

Department: Development & Digital Convergence
The Division of Information Technology is responsible for providing leadership and support in information technology for the entire CSU Dominguez Hills community. The Division promotes IT solutions that improve the teaching, learning, research, and administrative environment of the University. The Vice President / CIO provides overall management of the Division of IT. The Division of Information Technology is comprised of eight operational units: Service & Financial Mgmt, User Services, Academic Technology, Infrastructure & Production Services, Information Security, Development & Digital Convergence, Innovation Incubator, and Operational Effectiveness, Planning, & Analytics.

Major Job Duties:

Under the general direction of the AVP of Development & Digital Convergence, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical and functional support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as TouchNet, CFS, PageUp, other related administrative/academic systems supporting PeopleSoft Finance/Human Resources and Campus Solutions, and other campus applications/systems. Will provide general functional support for gathering functional system and integration requirements for administrative and academic software applications. Participating in fit-gap analysis, prototyping, application configuration, documentation, and testing. The incumbent will act in a coordinating capacity with other project members. Follow project work direction on tasks, work priorities, and project schedules/statuses. Provide excellent customer service and working closely with end-users. Communicate clearly and effectively, with technical and non-technical individuals within a culturally diverse campus environment. Perform other application or system-related tasks as assigned. Maintains IT professional standards of anonymity for data that reside on campus servers and computer systems. Maintains confidentiality and security of all information and data. Primarily in support of Administrative systems and processes. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

-Contact and communicate with CSU systemwide or manufacturer help desks for technical support
-Understand special policies and procedures of the CMS project from the Chancellor¿s Office perspective and how they impact the University;
-Work effectively with individuals in the campus and CSU system organizations
-Work independently, organize and plan work and projects, including handling multiple priorities in a project environment
-Meet stringent deadlines and complete assignments with general direction
-Read, analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, and communicate effectively and efficiently
-Use judgment to make decisions, interpret, test and apply solutions
-Recognize and identify training needs and recommend appropriate method of delivery; and initiative and ingenuity to solve problems and to suggest improvements
-Communicate clearly and effectively, with technical and non-technical individuals within a culturally diverse campus environment.

Specialized Materials: The position activities require the use of personal computers, peripherals and communication equipment, such as UNIX/Windows-based workstations

Experience and Education:

Required Education: A bachelors degree, preferably in computer science or business, or equivalent training and applied experience or equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university

Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience performing analytical support of enterprise applications, SDLC, user support, and data processing procedures. A solid foundation of technical knowledge and skills in application functionalities and systems analysis and related programming support function.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this classification is $4,372 - $10, 478 monthly
