Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Counselor in the Student Counseling Center. Primary Job Duties: Provide individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention to students within the university community to address psychological and mental health concerns, to help them develop emotionally and socially, and to support their academic success. Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and parents concerning students' developmental and mental health concerns and assist them in making appropriate referrals. Provide students with education and training related to suicide prevention, mental health promotion and academic success.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field and 3-5 years of related experience; MD license in psychology, social work, professional counseling or related field or license eligible. Demonstrated proficiency in therapy and assessment; ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, exempt, 10 month, Contingent II (contractual) position with limited benefits including medical, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
