Adjunct faculty for Introductory Accounting

The Department of Business and Economics at Elmhurst College, in the west suburbs of Chicago, invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach introductory accounting courses for the 2018-19 academic year. Specifically, we are looking for someone to teach Managerial Accounting BUS 262 and Financial Accounting BUS 261.

Essential Functions
1. Teach Managerial Accounting BUS 262 and Financial Accounting BUS 261.
2. Be available during the day to teach the courses Monday through Friday.
3. Be available for meetings with accounting professors a few times during the semester.
4. Grade, manage and set up assignments using the Blackboard learning management system.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
As assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. MBA or MPA or related Master's degree or higher.
2. Some college teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications
CPA preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
