Position Description:

Counsels and advises students and parents on eligibility for various financial aid programs and alternative ways of financing college through various communication methods; coordinates the scholarship selection process for multicultural scholarship initiatives, including the UNI RISE Scholars Award; coordinates external scholarship initiatives for prospective and transfer student populations; administers the day-to-day functions of work study, including Community Service Learning; compiles and monitors the work-study and departmental work accounts; and organizes and participates in financial aid outreach functions.

This position is eligible for overtime.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.

Required Qualifications:

At least one year of experience counseling students in higher education required. Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills including public speaking experience is required. Student experience will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

Bilingual speaking skills preferred.
