Job Summary:
The UW School of Medicine and Public Health's Wisconsin Partnership Program is committed to improving the health and well-being of the people of Wisconsin now and for years to come. The Partnership Program was established to manage and distribute funds from the conversion of Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin to improve the health of the public.

In alignment with the Wisconsin Idea, the Partnership Program achieves its mission through investments in innovative research and education programs and community partnerships. Since its inception in 2004, over 450 grants totaling more than $205 million have been awarded to community organizations and to UW System faculty. Currently, the Partnership Program, through its two governance committees, the Oversight and Advisory Committee and the Partnership Education and Research Committee, allocates approximately $15 million annually.

As a member of the financial management team and under the supervision and direction of the SMPH Assistant Director for Finance, the Financial Specialist provides support for the financial functions of the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP). Areas of responsibility include reviewing financial information from applicants and grantees, preparing financial reports and documents, and tracking spending. The Financial Specialist interacts with grantees regularly to ensure that required financial reporting and compliance requirements are met and to provide customer service to grantees.

The School of Medicine and Public Health has a deep and profound commitment to diversity both as an end in itself but, also as a valuable means for eliminating health disparities.
