Job Summary

Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Procurement Supply Support Specialist 2.


As part of Eastern Washington University Dining Services, this position will help facilitate and assist with the purchasing, inventory, invoicing, and payment of food and non-food items for the Dining Services Department. This position will be responsible for following guidelines and procedures established by the Washington State Procurement Department and procedures established by Eastern Washington University.

Conditions of Employment

This position requires a valid food handler's permit and a driver's license.


This position requires the ability to work evenings and weekends. This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18.
Successful applicants will be required to pass a background check.


This is an agency shop position.




Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to stand for the duration of their shift and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. This positions requires the ability to use computers, keyboards, and other electronic devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License

  • Food Handler's Permit

  • Two years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, or equivalent. One year of college course work may be substituted for one year of work experience.

  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of college/univeristy food service experience.

  • 1 year of supply and equipment procurement, control, and accountability.

  • 1 year of large scale stock control and inventory management.
