Job Summary:
Starting pay is based on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $18.03 an hour.

Responsible for the day-to -day administrative activities, including payroll, benefits, e-reimbursement; manage fund accounts and provide support for faculty and student employees.

Provide advice regarding the regulations, policies, rules and guidelines to faculty, staff and graduate assistants pertaining to accounting services within the University System.

Monitor and maintain a computer-based accounting and financial reporting system that is responsive to the needs of the Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic and all of its associated programs. Provide financial management, purchasing and reporting for the Department's various accounts, including GPR (101), gifts and endowments (233), and UW System Trust Fund accounts.

Provide general administrative assistance in support of Departmental operation.

Department faculty and academic staff generate many projects, including grant-driven ones. This position requires advanced multi-tasking skills and collegial interaction with a range of staff in an extremely busy office with many interruptions.

This department had expenditures in 2014 of $4.4 million.
