IT Support Representative, Service Desk

IT SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE (SERVICE DESK TEAM), Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) (2 openings), to assume a customer-focused role with the goals of increasing satisfaction, deepening client relationships, and effectively managing expectations for a variety of customers. The key essential functions will include hardware deployment; serving as the first point of contact and day-to-day technical support for walk-in end users, diagnosing, resolving, or collaborating on problem resolution regarding hardware, software, and peripheral equipment; service level management; keeping performance metrics; conducting training on functionality/services; documentation; and communicating updates, alerts, etc. May also be responsible for the imaging and delivery of computers, asset recovery, monitoring request queues, assisting with receipt of equipment, and maintaining inventory. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: three years' relevant experience; CompTIA A+ and/or ACMT certifications; knowledge of basic hardware and software products; relevant OS/hardware repair certifications; ability to review for non-conformity and gather further information in response to routine problems; oral and written communication skills for supporting transactional activities; customer service skills for responding to clients' requests for assistance on day-to-day needs; ability to work within a team setting by supporting team decisions, assisting other team members, and sharing work to meet goals and deadlines; attention to detail when working on defined, routine tasks; and the ability to multitask, assist multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and day-to-day tasks. Associate's degree or technical institute degree/certification in computer science, information system, or related field preferred. Job #16020-5

Salary range/rate: $21.00 - $25.00
