A&S Anthropology - Marketing and Design
Position Description
Need a design job? Love social media? The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a student worker OR work study student to implement the marketing and design efforts for the department. Duties will include: managing and generating content for the department's social media accounts; updating the department's website; designing flyers and promotional materials for department talks, events, and classes; creatively imagining and making other materials to feature the research, teaching, and community engaged activities of the UC Anthropology community; writing/designing departmental newsletters and press releases; redesigning departmental display cases; and other related marketing and design activities. This student will work closely with the departmental Program Manager, as well as the Department Head and other faculty members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills
- Willingness to learn about UC Anthropology
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Familiarity with managing Twitter, Facebook, Instagram accounts
- Availability for Fall Semester 2018; preferred availability - Academic year 2018-19; possible Summer 2018 hours (Maximum 20 hours per week during school).
