Department of Housing Operations

Essential Function

Under general supervision from the Associate Director of Housing, the selected candidate will coordinate a comprehensive program for Summer Housing and Conference Services within Housing and Food Services (HFS) .

Characteristic Duties

Oversee all activities of summer housing operations. Implement marketing/advertisement to drive summer housing demand. Oversee housing application process. Responsible for occupancy management throughout summer. Coordinate with Residence Life staff to develop check in and check out procedures. Maintain and analyze data on summer housing occupancy and demand trends. Manage hiring process and supervision of ACUHO-I summer housing intern.

Responsible for coordination of summer Conference and Events program, in conjunction with the Conference and Event Services Office. Coordinate Conference Assistant hiring process and supervise staff. Develop plan for allocation and use of space designated for summer conferences. Facilitate communication between all groups involved in the summer conference process, (Housing, CES, Housekeeping and Maintenance). Manage hiring process and supervision of ACUHO-I summer conferences intern.

Counsel students and other constituencies with expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Housing and Food Services. Employ professional judgment and decision-making skills to meet students' service needs. Manage all service-related inquiries. Assign students to housing based on program needs. Collect and record payments for various housing charges per departmental policies. Using in-depth knowledge of university and housing policies and procedures, analyze status of student records.

Oversee all aspects of break housing and early arrival processes. Coordinate Residence Life, Housekeeping, and other campus partners to meet student's break housing and early arrival needs. Coordinate communication and billing efforts surrounding break periods and early arrivals.

Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- seven (7) years experience.
