EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Foxborough Housing Authority is seeking an experienced well qualified full time Executive Director with vision and problem-solving skills. The director is responsible for the administration of 104 units of (chapter 667) State Elderly/Disabled Public Housing, 41 units of (chapter 705) State Family Public Housing, 16 (chapter 689) Special Needs Housing, 3 MRVP vouchers and 20 Section 8 project-based vouchers.

The successful candidate will have at least four years of experience in housing, community development, public administration or closely related field; working knowledge of the laws regulating state housing programs and their respective reporting requirements; knowledge of the financial and budgetary principles and practices of housing management.

Two or more years of experience in management and oversight of systems and building maintenance in a public or private housing setting, as well as experience with contractor bidding, selection and oversight required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Strong computer skills required. Experience working with people of various social-economic backgrounds and mental and physical capabilities. Must be bondable.

Salary is commensurate with DHCD guidelines and salary schedule and will include excellent benefits. Certification as a property manager or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization, or by certification as a MPHA of a DHCD-approved Massachusetts Public Housing Administrator Certification Program is desired.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for up to two years experience.  Women, minorities, veterans and those with disabilities are urged to apply.
