Degree and area of specialization:
Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics or closely related field required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Previous experience with analysis of clinical trial design is desirable, as is experience with SAS and R in a Linux environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to clearly explain statistical analysis results and concepts both to other statisticians and to non-statisticians.

Position Summary:
The incumbent will work on industry-sponsored, multicenter, Phase 2 and 3, randomized control clinical trials, as part of the independent statistical data analysis center (SDAC) supporting independent data monitoring committees (DMCs) in their interim monitoring of trial safety and benefit. The incumbent will work as part of a team of PhD-level and MS-level statisticians to prepare clear, comprehensive reports that communicate large amounts of information to DMC clinicians and statisticians in a manner that is both maximally informative and easy to review in a short period of time. The position may also include statistical consultation and collaboration with on-campus researchers.
