General Function:

The Programmer/Analyst III will be responsible for supporting end users, maintaining and troubleshooting the college's administrative systems software, and designing custom applications and reporting against an Oracle database.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years full-time work experience. A minimum of 5 years SQL required. Some PL/SQL experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with Ellucian BANNER, Oracle SQL, Evision ARGOS, Sun SOLARIS and/or LINUX, Java, Groovy & Grails preferred.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

(Duties and responsibilities listed are examples of work performed and may be modified as needs of the College may dictate)

• Install, test, and maintain new releases and updates of the administrative and academic software systems
• Develop and maintain reports required from the administrative and academic software systems or Oracle database
• Develop and maintain technical procedural documentation for the administrative and academic software systems
• Assist end-users in troubleshooting programming or functional issues
• Participate with the Administrative Computing team in group efforts
• Work closely with each college department to plan, design and develop ad-hoc systems that will enhance the functionality of the administrative and academic software systems
• Provide training to user departments on the use of administrative and academic software systems
• Ensure audit guidelines are being followed
• Support of Web applications as they pertain to administrative and academic software systems
• Perform problem analysis, including identify root causes, outline resolution options, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems
• Other associated duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative Computing
