The University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine and the UC Health System are seeking candidates for Dermatology Residency Program Director and Assistant/Associate Professor Clinical Position (Rank is commensurate with experience.), to join our academic practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. This physician will join an established team of General Dermatologists, Dermatopathologists and Mohs surgeons. The ideal candidate will have experience in the leadership and implementation of a vibrant residency curriculum. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Authority and accountability for the operation of the Dermatology residency program to the Chair of the Department and the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education, as well as the residents.
  • Development of a program plan, curriculum, policies, and procedures for the program
  • Maintaining ACGME accreditation and state approval
  • Recruiting residents into the program and developing evaluation process for performance through screening of residency application and, in conjunction with faculty, interview and match residents to the program
  • Participating in competency evaluations of residents
  • Additional responsibilities to ensure program of excellence


Minimum Requirements :
  • Must be Board Certified in Dermatology
  • Must have a minimum of four years of post-training experience
  • Must have previous leadership/administrative/educational experience
  • Must be willing to combine administrative and diagnostic (teaching) responsibilities with clinical practice (30/70)
  • Must have strong administrative and team building skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
