The Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program housed in the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati offers undergraduate education in the basic medical sciences to prepare students to be competitive for admission to professionals schools- including medicine, physician assistant, and dentistry- and graduate programs in the life sciences. The Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program is an innovative pathway that provides students with integrated academic, experiential, and mentored opportunities that will prepare them for advanced training in biomedical science, medicine, and other health professions.

The Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator to work with the Program Director and the college's faculty & staff to coordinate and implement admissions to the Medical Sciences major and minor. Characteristic Duties:
  • Coordinate and implement admissions programs for the Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program
  • Meet with prospective students and their parents; respond to phone and written inquiries
  • Work with the University Admissions Office to implement and explain University admissions policies and procedures and answer questions on the Program and campus life
  • Work with the Director of Admissions for the Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program to evaluate applications for admission
  • Coordinate and lead admissions events for the Program, including Orientation, College Day, Bearcat Brunches, and open houses
  • Travel to main campus to provide weekly close-ups for the Program
  • Create and order marketing materials for the Program
  • Mentor and lead the Medical Sciences Student Ambassadors
  • Manage social media accounts for the Program
  • Evaluate applications for admission to the Medical Sciences minor
  • Perform related duties based on Program need


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with one (1) year of experience; -OR- Associate degree with three (3) years of experience; -OR- five (5) years of experience. Must have admissions experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master degree in a related educational program, student affairs administration, counseling, or other related field. The Program Coordinator must be dynamic, organized, collaborative, and with superior skills in communication.
