The College of Medicine, Department of Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting for a full-time Program Manager. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Essential Function: Under general supervision from the Chair, Executive Vice Chair (EVC), Assistant Vice Chair (AVC), and Executive Director of Business Administration (EDBA), the program manager will provide administrative support and coordination of various business related functions including but not limited to HR, Faculty Affairs, reappointments, credentialing, scheduling, and compliance monitoring for the Business Office within Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience.

Characteristic Duties:
  • Coordinate all (RPT) reappointment, promotion and tenure, functions for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience
  • Assist, advise and serve as an informational resource to faculty and staff on matters related to faculty appointment, reappointment, tenure and promotions
  • Act as a liaison with the offices of faculty affairs and human resources; coordinating academic and other types of leaves
  • Work with EVC and AVC in coordinating the monthly provider schedules
  • Coordinate and manage special projects pertaining to faculty
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between UCP, UCPC, and UC HR and Psychiatry managers to ensure effective processes, staffing, alignment of job duties
  • Responsible for reconciliation of departmental time off from work requests and managing the clinical provider schedules
  • Provide support to the Psychiatry business office by ensuring departmental policies, procedures and other business office needs are carried out
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned by designated supervisor such as serving on committees, training and development for staff/providers, etc.
  • Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
  • Works collaboratively with Chair, EDBA, and EVC to ensure the department monitors all compliance requirements including but not limited to OARs, OPPEs, CMS, etc.
  • Manages the credentialing process for the Department
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with three (3) years of experience or more in program management or business administration or related field; -OR-anAssociate degree with five (5) years of experience; -OR- seven (7) years of experience. Experience may require at least one (1) year of supervision.
