Program Associate/Aquatic & School-Age Contract Services

Percent of Time/Week:100% Service Schedule:Calendar Year

Position Description:

Manages aquatic programs in Europe and Asia, including recruitment, screening, placements, training, certification requirements, and site supervision at Army, Air Force, Navy, and Embassy locations; provides contract support for Europe and Asia youth programs; assists in communicating with contract partners to clarify contract specifications, costs, and program requirements; assists with school-age program student placements and travel; travels to partner universities as needed for placements/training; and manages marketing efforts at conferences and training events.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services, Education or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

At least two years of combined experience in child and youth services and aquatics supervision required. American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguarding Instructor are also required. Experience with database systems also required. Student experience will be considered. Occasional travel, including overnight, will be necessary.

Certifications:

American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguarding Instructor are required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Master's degree; experience working with military youth programs; Certified Pool Operator; and experience with Macintosh OSX and Filemaker Pro database preferred.
