Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the MDS Administrative Program Specialist Supervisor this position is responsible for Inventory Control Coordinators with the MDS warehouse as well as being a backup driver to MDS. This includes deliveries, core stock inventory, receiving, shipping, and UPS. Sort, scan, load, and deliver MDS/SWAP and cross dock (including 30ft truck policy) merchandise in an efficient and safe manner within the mandated time limits. Delivers SWAP merchandise when leaving MDS and picks up SWAP items on return trips. Assists with filling orders for supplies ordered from MDS. Helps keep warehouse and vehicles clean and free of debris. The MDS program for UW-Madison affects 16,000 employees and over $40 million in vendor sales in addition to storage of items for many departments and state agencies. At the MDS/SWAP Warehouse, this position will move material to designated areas, assist with documenting the receipt of material, perform all required vehicle inspection reports, and perform other duties as assigned to keep the warehouse functioning efficiently.
