Advertised Salary:
Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field such as business or finance is strongly preferred. CPA strongly preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Required Skills and/or Experience:
1. At least three years of relevant experience.
2. Demonstrated computer expertise with a variety of software programs.
3. Experience in working with complex automated financial and research management computer systems and processes.

Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of governmental accounting, including federal grants and GAAP.
2. Experience with the revenue cycle, clinical research, research administration and/or grant fund accounting.
3. Experience with clinical trial invoicing and budgeting.
4. Advanced working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite.

License or Certificate:


Position Summary:
This position works with the Department of Surgery Central Office of Clinical Research as an Accountant to provide oversight of the budgeting, invoicing and payment reconciliation related to sponsor and investigator-initiated clinical trials.
