Degree and area of specialization:
Masters degree required in science or health background or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
The Program Manager will work as part of a larger team to develop strategies and programming to address the opioid crisis in the Great Lakes region of the midwestern United States. The incumbent will lead teams in one of three geographical areas: 1) Michigan and Indiana; 2) Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota or 3) Ohio, in delivering behavioral, technical and training assistance as part of a federal Opioid State Targeted Response Assistance project.

With limited supervision, the incumbent will assure that the assigned projects activities, data management, and project deliverables are achieved.

Minimum of 5 years professional experience working with as part of a collaborative project with non-profit and/or state agencies (such as addiction treatment providers, community based organizations, and single state agencies). Professional experience with and knowledge of the addiction treatment field is necessary.

Must show demonstrated leadership, self-confidence, creativity, initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work independently to manage and coordinate a team oriented environment. Incumbent must also have excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to research and synthesize information in both written and oral form. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs expected.

Position Summary:
This position works with the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx) within the Center for Health Enhancement System Studies (CHESS). NIATx is a growing, mission-driven research and technical assistance organization directed by Dr. Todd Molfenter.

The focus of this position is to provide successful implementation of evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery support programs/services across Opioid substance use disorder treatment and recovery agencies and workforce through technical assistance and training. This work will be in partnership with the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) and is funded by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Additional Information:
3 positions are available, each will serve only one of the following geographic areas: 1) Michigan and Indiana; 2) Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota; or 3) Ohio. Please state geographical area of interest in application materials. Candidate must be willing and able to spend 10-20% of their time travelling in in their appointed region and must hold a valid US drivers license.
