Minimum $55,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering and technical management in three broad areas: Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance/Control.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in production processes for high reliability, high value products. Experience in government sponsored projects is desired.

Position Summary:
The Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL) is a research and development laboratory that provides a range of services including consulting, design, fabrication, and calibration services in scientific instrumentation. At our facility south of Madison, which includes a 25,000 square foot machine and electronics shop, PSL offers a highly trained staff in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering and physics to address the unique needs of projects of every scale and complexity.

This position carries a wide range of responsibilities in the complete design process of unique one-of-a-kind scientific apparatus ranging from small delicate components and mechanisms to large-scale multi-ton components, and will encompass a broad range of physical sciences disciplines.
