Senior/Human Resources Business Partner

This job will be a Senior Human Resources Business Partner or Human Resources Business Partner, depending on the experience of the candidate.

In support of the University's mission, Human Resources partners with University communities to provide a broad array of programs and services contributing to a progressive and productive work environment that meets the challenges of a changing world.

Essential to Business Partnering with client groups is the ability of HR professionals to become immersed in the business (es) of the client in order to assist with strategic, operational and tactical staff deployment/management strategies. Competencies required is situational adaptability, ability to collaborate with a diverse client populations, manage complexity of situations, projects and general work and, as such, be able to prioritize and plan effectively.

The senior HR business partner position must possess demonstrable depth of understanding in multiple Human Resources disciplines, including workforce planning/agility, recruiting, international employment, organization design and development, training, compensation, benefits, and/or employee and labor relations. The Sr. HRBP must also possess proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience using HRIS in order to work with multiple systems in the course of every day work. The Sr. HRBP must effectively collaborate with a wide-spectrum of staff, faculty and senior leadership, understand and manage complex issues and demonstrate optimum decision quality. Equally important is a relevant degree and minimum of 10 years experience as a human resources generalist, business partner, or employment expert in mid-sized or large organization, consulting to client population of 200 or more.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10 years experience.
  • Solid understanding and demonstrable knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis and design, workforce planning, and sourcing.
  • Experience resourcing people, funding, material, and support to achieve results. Applies knowledge of internal structures, processes, and culture to resourcing efforts.
  • Strong technology skills. Previous experience working ERP, project management, case management, and other HR administrative systems. Previous experience with Microsoft software suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience guiding the work of others.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:

May require attendance at meetings with clients at varied campus locations.
