Position Summary and Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director of Human Resources, the HRIS Analyst will be responsible for aiding in the use of digital information technology to maintain human resources data for the College.

Specific duties include:

  • Work closely with Office of Human Resources staff to test, maintain, and support Vassar's newly implemented Workday system used to manage human resources and payroll. Position will initially include data entry duties as we move toward more manager self-service within Workday.
  • Develop an understanding of the way that Workday is being used in the department and how Workday can continue to be used to improve processes, reporting, and inform decisions.
  • Work closely with the Workday Lead(s) in the department, as well as in other departments such as Payroll and Dean of Faculty Office, to help ensure the product is configured and is being used to meet needs. Will make configuration changes under the direction of the Associate Director of HR.
  • Become active and current in the Workday Community to learn about current and new features in the product and how they could be of use to the department.
  • Assist the functional leads in the department with the review and testing of the Workday releases and patches in collaboration with the Workday Product Managers in Computing and Information Services.
  • Ensure that data within the systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with HR's Coordinator of Technology in creating reports within Workday to support the needs of the departments (HR, Benefits and Payroll).
  • Lead the efforts in the implementation and use of document imaging within the department.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in human resources management, business administration, or information systems. Minimum of 3 years human resource information system (HRIS) or related experience required in an HR setting. Experience working with an enterprise human resource management system (e.g., Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft) with preference for experience with Workday. Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines. Self-motivated; able to work independently as well as with a team. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes. Ability to handle highly sensitive data with integrity and the utmost discretion and respect for confidentiality. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and, in particular advanced skills using Excel
