Assistant / Associate Professor, Management

Position Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's College of Business Administration seeks applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Management beginning in August 2018. The successful candidate's primary teaching responsibilities will be courses in management information systems for undergraduate business students and MIS majors. Teaching assignments may include programming, database management, systems development and other related topics and courses. Applicants seeking a balance in teaching and research responsibilities in a collegial work environment with faculty actively engaged and committed to the growth and continuous improvement of the MIS program are encouraged to apply. Education Requirements:

Ph.D. in MIS or a related discipline from a nationally or internationally-recognized doctoral program required. ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 2018.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a record of excellence in teaching; evidence of hands-on development experience; demonstrated ability to produce publishable research in business-related journals; and demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working as a member of a collaborative team and active participation in appropriate professional associations.
