Job Summary
**This is a one-year limited term position. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funding.**

The individual in this position will coordinate and provide instruction for a new program to serve students with intellectual disabilities at Auburn University.

The person in this position will develop, implement, and evaluate student-focused instruction and services for postsecondary program for students with intellectual disabilities. He or she will collaborate with departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University to advance and enhance the effectiveness of the program. The person in this position will also develop and coordinate effective outreach and marketing materials to promote the program. He or she will develop and manage reports and information used to enhance instruction and services, as well as program effectiveness. This individual will also provide support to other Auburn Transition Leadership Institute initiatives (ATLI), as appropriate. He or she will work with other ATLI staff members and designated Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Counseling faculty program advisors to achieve the mission and goals of the program for students with intellectual disabilities. He or she will recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate students, staff, and interns in designated programmatic areas. Finally, this person will assist with budget responsibilities for the program for students with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and implementing innovative instructional coursework with accompanying content and evaluation materials, as well as marketing materials; effectively applying teaching with students enrolled in the program; ensuring effective communication with departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University; gathering data and reporting results on program outcomes with accuracy and high quality; providing ongoing feedback and performance reviews of students, staff, and interns; and assisting with budget development and monitoring taking into consideration of available resources.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Master's degree and teaching certificate from an accredited institution in special education. Applicant must have a minimum of 2-years teaching experience providing instruction and guidance for youth and/or young adults with intellectual disabilities. Applicant must also have experience delivering presentations to recognized professional organizations or groups. Employer will consider advanced degree in lieu of experience.

Desired Qualifications
Experience developing or delivering instruction in academics/training, daily living/independent living, personal/social, and employment skills; proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite; possess extensive writing skills in APA style; and excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; and knowledge of AU policies and procedures.
