Job Summary
The expansion of our programs requires a highly-qualified professional who can manage several ongoing projects and excel at conquering multi-step administrative processes that require proactive coordination. Additionally, this professional must be able to take up facilitation tasks when necessary to ensure seamless support of faculty, students, and staff who rely on the Biggio Center.
This professional will promote the Biggio Center's support of transformational learning and teaching by providing office management to the Biggio Center, home to a diverse set of units who serve faculty, administrators, staff, and students. This professional will execute business and Human Resources functions for the division, coordinate with Biggio staff to keep up to date records on programs and unit projects, and use the online project management system to coordinate large yearly and smaller ongoing events. In addition, the Administrator of Academic Programs will compile reports, presentations, and facilitate interactions for a wide variety of audiences: faculty, students, staff, and alumni. As the support hub of the Biggio Center, this professional will collaborate with all members of the diverse Biggio team. The successful candidate will thrive in an adaptive, creative work environment.
Position Responsibilities: Manage the financial affairs of a diverse division (Biggio, Biggio Tech, Testing) by monitoring expenditures and reimbursements and advising management on financial matters.
Execute administrative duties including, but not limited to: preparing and monitoring the budget, payroll, travel expense vouchers and invoices, contractual agreements, cash and bank deposits, time logs, work orders, supplies, staffing correspondence, and/or workshop schedules.
Coordinate human resources activities such as hiring, processing numerous electronic Personnel Action forms for hiring and faculty development stipends, and providing staffing coordination for the division.
Supervise professional employees.
Identify, draft, and submit appropriate grants to support the Biggio Center's growth and integration of teaching and research.
Create, design, and implement new training programs; serve as a facilitator and instructor for workshops and create development opportunities for learning consultants and other Biggio staff development events (including leadership meetings and staff retreats).
Develop office procedures, administrate the project management system, initiate and implement administrative process changes, and keep records up to date.
Compile internal data, prepare reports, and draft original and routine correspondence.
Retrieve and disseminate information via electronic means (email, website, video) to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Support Biggio staff in coordinating and hosting major events.
Collaborate with other University units and programs as appropriate (including but not limited to the Office of Academic Assessment, the Office of the Vice President for Research, The Office of University of Writing, the Office of Undergraduate Research).
Interact with Auburn University officials and special interest groups and maintain positive relationships throughout Auburn and assist with alumni donor relations through fundraisers, activities, and stewardship functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position, plus 2 years' experience in project or program administration. Employer will consider advanced degree in lieu of experience. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail in qualitative and quantitative reports.
Ability to meet deadlines and respond to shifting priorities in an adaptive work environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience working with a diverse team in a high-energy environment.

Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Management, English, Mass Communications, Technical and Professional Communication, Graphic Design, or field related to position duties.
Knowledge of University Budgeting, Payment and Procurement Services, and Human Relations regulations.
Familiarity with the day-to-day operations of a diverse teaching and learning center. Some of these behavioral attributes include: compassion, responsiveness to email and other forms of communication, ability to prioritize incoming tasks with ongoing responsibilities, inclusive communication skills, confidentiality in record keeping, the ability to proactively manage the administrative functions of a center, excellent self-organization skills, and the ability to help others organize themselves.
Experience working with an online project management system like Asana.
Experience supervising professional employees.
