Summary of Job Duties
The Assistant/Associate/Professor is expected to teach three courses per year for the first three years (which could all be taught in one semester depending on the individual's preference and departmental needs), and four classes each year thereafter, normally with no more than 2 course preparations per year (i.e., a 2-2 teaching load). The courses taught could be a mix of graduate and undergraduate courses, and a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications will be disqualified from consideration.
  • Ph.D. in finance (or completion of the Ph.D. by August 13, 2018) from a nationally or internationally accredited university that must be conferred by the start of employment
  • Candidates are expected to publish research in top-tier finance journals, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute their service to the university
  • Candidates for associate and full professor levels are expected to have a distinguished research publication, teaching, and service record
  • Candidates with research and teaching interests in all areas of finance will be considered

  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong research records or the potential to publish in top-tier journals
  • The ability to provide an excellent learning environment in the classroom, and value collegiality
