Position Description:

The School of Kinesiology, Allied Health and Human Services at the University of Northern Iowa is seeking a term Instructor and Assistant Coordinator for Dimensions of Wellbeing (DWB). The DWB course helps prepare students for healthy, proactive lifestyles through lecture, experiential learning, and various physical/wellbeing activities. This position involves teaching nine credit hours for the lecture component of DWB program each semester and serving as the Assistant Coordinator of DWB. Responsibilities include providing leadership for the DWB professors, instructors, and graduate assistants; serving on the DWB Steering Committee; scheduling and helping facilitate regular meetings; providing training of all lecture and laboratory instructors; assisting with collecting and analyzing course assessment data; assisting with curriculum development; assisting with assessment for DWB student learning outcomes; and assisting with course scheduling.

Education Requirements:

Masters degree in Health, Physical Education, Exercise Science, Leisure/Recreational Studies, or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

Additional requirements include college-level teaching experience in areas related to wellness, and leadership experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with curriculum development experience and academic program development/implementation experience.
