Summary of Job Duties
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will primarily be responsible for overseeing data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation for mark-recapture, individual-based, and population modeling on snakes and pond-breeding amphibians. This position will also be responsible for overseeing and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students engaged in field projects evaluating effects of anthropogenic stressors on reptiles and amphibians. This position will perform other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Ph.D. in biological sciences or a related field
  • Evidence of competence in biological research (papers published or in advanced preparation and/or presentations at scientific meetings)
  • Experience and evidence of successful grantsmanship
  • Experience conducting ecological field work in challenging enviornments
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
  • Experience with ecological modeling (population or individual-based)
