Program Coordinator, Outreach and Evaluation (UCP 5)


The University of Connecticut, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), Office of Early College Programs (OECP), is seeking a Program Coordinator - Outreach and Evaluation (UCP 5).

Under the direction of the Associate Director of the Office of Early College Programs (OECP) the Program Coordinator for Outreach and Evaluation serves a dual focus: the creative application of program numbers and research for our two largest programs, UConn Early College Experience (UConn ECE) and Pre-College Summer (PCS), and, outreach to our 210 high school partners throughout the State. UConn ECE is the University's oldest and largest academic outreach program, with more than 12,000 annual enrollments. PCS is a residential non-credit academic program for high school students. The Program Coordinator will support the implementation of many academic high school student events, manage the delivery and collection of course evaluations, and support the marketing of both ECE and PCS by creating info graphics and other attractive informational materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs site visits to high school partners to maintain close collegial ties with principals, heads of guidance, and instructors. Compiles data, prepares reports, and conducts surveys to aid in evaluating student progress and program effectiveness using Hyperion, Qualtrics, and PeopleSoft Queries. Analyses, assesses, and interprets data individually and as a team. Supports the marketing of UConn ECE and PCS by converting program data into attractive informational materials. Responds to inquiries from students, faculty, and others regarding program policies, procedures, and requirements, making referrals as appropriate. Coordinates directly with the Homer Babbidge Library to maintain close ties and is the direct liaison between UConn ECE and the high school library/media specialists. Represents UConn ECE and PCS at high school events to include, parent nights, UConn Open House, Homecoming, etc. Maintains the UConn ECE website and is the primary liaison with the Center for Excellence in Teaching (CETL) marketing staff. Collaborates with OECP staff to maintain accurate high school records and files and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in an academic discipline, fine arts, digital media and design, or business/marketing degree; At least three years of professional experience in a related area; Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; Experience converting data into effective and attractive marketing materials; Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; Ability to work effectively in team settings; Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships; Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint); Effective presentation skills and demonstrated experience communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with secondary and/or post-secondary educational institutions; a strong customer service background; advanced proficiency using Excel functions; and/or, Master's degree and two years of relevant experience.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full time, permanent position. With salary in high forties and includes an excellent benefits package.
