Job Summary:
California State University, Fullerton is looking for a Director, Budget and Finance. The Director, Budget and Finance should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the direction of the Dean/Associate Vice President and working with the University Extended Education/International Programs and Global Engagement (UEE/IPGE) leadership team, the Director of Budget and Finance develops financial and budgetary objectives and goals, establishing and implementing accounting policies and procedures accordingly. Develops the annual budget, monthly financial reports, and a wide variety of other financial and statistical reports, projections, statements and summaries, including a cost recovery methodology; oversees UEE/IPGE payroll. Provides interpretation and analysis of financial performance, developing sound projections for financial success. Develops and implements strategies to improve organizational services and efficiency. Works closely with appropriate CSUF, CSU, and Auxiliary Services Corporation administration and budget units. Represents UEE/IPGE in CSU and external audits. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
Masters degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university. Minimum of five to seven years of experience in progressively responsible management positions with supervisory responsibilities. Business experience and acumen to be successful in an entrepreneurial organization. Strong analytical and reasoning skills to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret financial analyses and revenue data. Demonstrated skill in building alliances, partnering, and working as a positive force for collaboration and achievement within an organization and with external stockholders. As the unit manager, demonstrated leadership and management skills are required. Ability to lead and champion change. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both as a team member and team leader. Strongly self-directed. Demonstrated service orientation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel and Access.
