Auburn University, Auburn, AL: The Department of Finance is seeking qualified candidates for a nine-month, non-tenure track, non-tenure eligible full-time teaching faculty position in Finance. Contract renewed annually based on need, funding, and performance. This nine-month position is designed to support the Finance program of Auburn University's Harbert College of Business.

Auburn University is one of the nation's premier land-grant institutions. In the 2017 edition of U.S. News & World Report, it was ranked 43rd among public universities. Auburn is a high research activity institution, offering Bachelor's, Professional, Master's, Educational Specialist, and Doctoral degrees. Auburn University has 1,260 full-time faculty and enrolls 28,290 students from all fifty states and nearly one hundred countries, including 4,518 graduate students and 1,114 professional students.

The primary responsibility of a successful candidate for this position is to teach a selection of undergraduate finance courses required of students in the finance degree program. The successful candidate will be expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to their finance program courses. Under typical circumstances, the teaching load will be 3-4 courses per semester, which includes course development and course management activities. In addition to instructional duties, successful candidates will be expected to mentor students through possible participation in student organizations and other mentoring and knowledge enhancement opportunities. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful applicants must possess undergraduate and master or Ph.D. degrees in business or finance from an AACSB accredited institution prior to the date of employment. Applicants must have at least three years of experience teaching finance courses at an AACSB accredited institution of higher education. Candidates with a Ph.D. and at least two years of experience working in a finance related field are desired. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and communication skills in the English language are required. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
