Auburn University, Auburn, AL: The Department of Finance invites applications for two tenure-track positions in finance at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor starting fall semester, 2018 (contingent upon budget).

Auburn is a high research activity institution, offering Bachelor's, Professional, Master's, Educational Specialist, and Doctoral degrees. Auburn University has 1,260 full-time faculty and enrolls 28,290 students from all fifty states and nearly one hundred countries, including 4,518 graduate students and 1,114 professional students.

The Department seeks candidates with an instructional emphasis in corporate finance, investments, and/or financial institutions. The faculty is expected to contribute in instruction, research, and service/outreach/extension and work closely with Ph.D. students.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful applicants must possess a Ph.D./D.B.A. in finance or business with a major in finance from an AACSB accredited institution. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. The successful candidate will possess in addition to the required terminal degree, evidence of research productivity and intellectual contributions to the field of finance commensurate with experience. Candidates with a proven record of teaching experience and effectiveness are desired. Excellent communication skills in the English language are required. For the ranks of Associate and Full Professor, consideration will be given to those candidates who have experience working in a Ph.D. program and serving on and/or chairing Ph.D. dissertation committees.

A review of and interviews with candidates will continue until qualified candidates are selected and recommended for appointment.
