The Hourly rate is $15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Transportation & Parking Services, The mission of the Adelphi University Department of Public Safety and Transportation is to enhance the quality of life for the entire Adelphi community by maintaining a secure and open environment where the safety of all is balanced with the rights of the individual. This Department strives to accomplish its mission while adhering to its core values of Pride, Professionalism, and Service to the University Community.
Hourly Bus Drivers are needed to provide shuttle & transportation services for students, faculty, staff, and University organizations, while classes are in session. Days & hours of operation are from 7am-11pm, Monday-Friday & weekends. Schedules & assignments are subject to change based on the needs of the Department.
The University shuttle provides service to local transportation centers & retail outlets. Transportation services for University organizations extend to the Long Island & Metropolitan area.

Qualifications
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B with a "P" endorsement is required. Working knowledge of local & Long Island/metropolitan area is required. A clean driving record is a must. Pre-employment & random drug testing is mandatory.
