PATROL OFFICER, MIT Police, to be responsible for the protection of life and property. Will identify criminal offenders and criminal activity, apprehend offenders as appropriate and participate in subsequent court proceedings; reduce the opportunity for the commission of some crimes through preventative and directed patrols and crime measures; aid individuals who are in danger of physical harm; provide services such as crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and community relations functions; and handle emergency procedures such as fires, explosions, and chemical spills; and perform other general police duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: United States citizenship, a valid driver's license, and graduation from a full-time police academy (municipal, state, SSPO, or equivalent). Law enforcement experience preferred. Must qualify in the use of firearms and be able to obtain special state police officer certification and work long hours as needed. Job #14963


Salary range: $24.99 - 31.28/ hour., based on experience


Will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and psychological screening.
