Advertised Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- Three years of professional project management experience, demonstrating a commitment to process, quality improvement, and innovation, preferably within higher education.
- Experience supervising employees
- Three years of experience in instructional design and development of online course content
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record in contributing to a successful team environment in a fast-paced, innovative workplace
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative measures of success.
- Familiarity with project management software preferred
- Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred.
- Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and communication skills, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a dynamic team in a fast-paced setting.

Position Summary:

The Manager for Online Production and Development works in the UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, reports to the Director of Online Program Development and is an integral part of the online development team working to increase online professional master's degrees and post-baccalaureate certificates. Areas of responsibility for this position include; managing the day to day production needs of the design and development team; monitoring active production schedule for online courses; managing workflow, timelines, and milestones; daily supervision of professional staff; assigning project work; and mentoring and growing the instructional design staff.
