Job Summary:

The main responsibility of this position is maintaining an efficient milking team, assure all protocols are followed in the parlor and that treatment, sample collection and reporting are completed as defined by written protocols. Other duties may include feeding, cleaning, handling, and general care of the dairy cattle in an efficient and accurate manner. This position uses the employees experience to complete the necessary task with limited supervision.

To be successful in this position you must also exhibit a positive working attitude, communicate well and develop a good working relationship with co-workers and supervisors and show initiative to see what needs to be done and to get it done.

A criminal background check will be conducted
Ability to lift 50 pounds

1. Safety certification: RARC Animal User Orientation online, RARC species specific training online (Biomethodology of cattle)
2. "Biomethodology of Cattle" (cattle handling) and supplemental videos listed below:
- Chute Safety
- How to get a cow up
- Restraint Halter
3. Safety training for animal users, including 1 on 1 hands on instruction
4. UHS- Animal contact risk questionnaire

Schedule Comment:

Shifts are 10 hours per day (3:30AM to 1:30PM)
Rotating weekends and holidays
