MIT Work-Life Special Projects Administrator



MIT WORK-LIFE SPECIAL PROJECTS ADMINISTRATOR, Human Resources-MIT Work-life Center, to develop and manage work-life programs, vendors, and financial operations within the Work-life Center . Will support identified needs of the MIT community and maintain the center's position as a national leader in the work-life field. Responsibilities include reviewing and establishing--with the senior program manager and program manager--goals and priorities, gathering and analyzing data on emerging trends and the needs of faculty, staff, and students to shape strategic planning and the design of new initiatives; designing and facilitating workshops for young professionals, partnering with other offices serving this population, and leading a campus-wide Young Professional Advisory Committee; designing and facilitating new discussion and support groups/workshops; leading job flexibility initiatives; helping develop and manage the center's budgets and review vendor-prepared child care budgets; and aligning internal processes and resources to support center and HR goals.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in related field; at least five years' progressive employee work-life program development, analysis, and management experience; at least three years' experience with financial operations; excellent project management, organizational, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, collaboration, and oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and learn complex systems quickly; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to produce high-level reports and presentations for senior leadership and national forums; strong knowledge of cost/managerial accounting, financial management, and analysis; high-level proficiency with Excel, database and accounting (SAP preferred) software, constructing budgets, and using a budget system; and comfort using database querying tools (Brio and Cognos preferred).
