Financial Aid Counselor

As Financial Aid Counselor, supports the mission of the Enrollment Management area and the financial aid office by ensuring the delivery of financial assistance for up to 2,500 admitted undergraduate students per academic year. Performs daily operations for processing financial assistance and special programs as assigned by the supervisor. Makes financial assistance awards, decisions concerning student eligibility for assistance and other administrative services issues. Provides high quality administrative services counseling and performs public speaking and outreach functions on a regular basis.Serves as one of the University's essential personnel in emergency or critical situations as deemed necessary by the supervisor

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Bachelor's or Master's degree is desirable. Some knowledge of financial aid and administrative service programs. Considerable experience in the Financial Aid profession or related field. Demonstrated ability to make decisions concerning financial aid awards.
