Temp - Program Assistant

Position Description:

Provides general supervision for Camp Adventure child and youth Summer day camp, child development center and/or aquatics programs including teambuilding, evaluations, assistance with medical needs, in-service training, and disciplinary action as necessary; serves as a liaison between Camp Adventure Headquarters and contract partners; ensures adherence to Camp Adventure and military child and youth policies and procedures; coordinates with Camp Adventure's points of contact related to job duties, schedules and other task related items; completes field paperwork as needed including student, parent, and contractor evaluations, travel confirmations, camp audits, daily reports to the Program Director, contractor information sheets, end of action reports, and homework collection; and ensures students maintain and clean their living quarters and that inspections are done.

Work may be peformed in one or more of the following locations: Whidbey Island, WA; Petaluma, CA; Lemoore, CA; Naval Base San Diego, CA; and Point Loma, CA.

This position is eligible for overtime.



Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services, Education or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

At least two years of combined experience working with child and youth programs including day camps, child development centers and/or aquatics programs required. Student experience will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

Prior experience with Camp Adventure Child and Youth Services and/or military child and youth programs preferred. Camp Adventure supervisory experience preferred.
