Degree and area of specialization:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required in Business or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required:
* 5-7 years of successful finance and project management experience.
* Capacity to work with diverse populations.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven capacity to translate complex ideas into clear prose.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Excellent MS Excel Skills, MS ACCESS a plus.

Preferred:
* Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, statement reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger and quarterly and year end reporting.
* Experience in financial modeling of new product development.
* Experience in financial modeling and budgeting.
* Experience managing large and complex projects, preferably revenue generating projects.
* Working with contracts a plus.

Position Summary:

The World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Consortium is a consortium of 37 member states dedicated to the design and implementation of high standards and equitable educational opportunities for English language learners (ELLs). WIDA's Finance and Operations team is responsible for managing the fiscal, strategic planning and contractual activities of the project. The Financial Manager's primary responsibility will be documenting, modeling, and reporting against the constructional obligations of WIDA's flagship ACCESS assessment. The Financial manager will also be responsible, in conjunction with the CFO, for developing and variance reporting of department and project budgets. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the commercialization of products and services outside of the university. The ideal candidate for this role is a proven self-starter with strong analytical skills and an attention to detail. This position will encompasses both the contractual and financial domains, along with close collaborations with outside organizations.

Additional Information:

This position may be made renewable after 2 years pending additional funding and department need.
