Degree and area of specialization:

MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

-Previous experience teaching at the college level.
-Previous experience in engineering graphics, geometric modeling and engineering design.

Position Summary:

Teach courses in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum related to graphics, geometric modeling, computer-aided engineering and design as required by the department. These courses include: ME 231 (Introduction to Engineering Graphics), ME 331 (Geometric Modeling for Engineering Applications), ME342 (Design of Machine Elements, ME 349 (Engineering Design Projects), ME 351 (Interdisciplinary Experiential Design Projects I)and ME 352 (Interdisciplinary Experiential Design Projects II). Individual will be expected to account for four (4) classroom sections per semester. Credit will be given when teaching a course for the first time, or if the enrollment exceeds a certain level.

Individual will be in charge of all aspects of the course including preparing and delivering lecture, holding office hours, preparing and grading homeworks and exams. Depending on the course enrollment, grading help may be provided.

Individual will attend department meetings and provide service to the department as needed.
