Physical Requirements - Must be able to work from ladders or lifts up to 30 feet, reach overhead and use tools
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in tight places for extended periods of time
- Must be able to distinguish wiring colors
- Must be able to traverse campus while carrying or moving equipment in a reasonable amount of time.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Shift Primarily days (i.e. Monday - Friday; 8a-4:30p). May occasionally require additional time in the evenings, weekends, etc. to accomplish work goals.
Job Summary The department provides a wide range of academic technology to faculty, staff and students. This position will provide technical support and installation for video conferencing, standard audio and video technology, PC's, advanced control systems and maintenance in classrooms/learning spaces. This position must be able to work independently or as a team member. Good
communication skills are necessary as this position will interact with customers from different cultures on a regular basis.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities MAC and Windows, customer service skills, Hardware and Software skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Experience in maintaining and/or supporting audiovisual equipment preferred.
Associate's degree plus two years related experience preferred.
