Physical Requirements The essential job functions of this position require: communicating effectively; building positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds; abiding by University guidelines; maintaining confidentiality; prioritizing and managing work effectively; providing exceptional customer service; perform work in a sedentary position; report to meetings at different locations both on campus on off campus; interact with individuals from various levels throughout the university.
Shift Primarily days with core hours from 8a-5p, M-F. Additional hours required as workload demands.
Job Summary The primary function of this position is to provide Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals leaders with strategic human resource support and guidance. Focus areas include performance management consultation, executive coaching, HR program development and process improvement, management of HR Standards for Joint Commission and reorganization assistance. This position reports directly to the Director, HR Business Partners & Enterprise Learning.
Primary responsibilities include:
•Build and maintain relationships with key leaders within Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals, with the goal of anticipating ways to advance business objectives through HR best practices and program/service delivery.
•Provide project management leadership for multiple simultaneous initiatives from point of concept development through project completion.
•Manage the Human Resources Standards for Joint Commission accreditation by promoting process and behaviors that will assist managers with compliance of the HR Standards.
•Provide senior leadership with timely and appropriate information to assist in strategic decision making.
•Collaborate with other the Office of Patient Experience and other leaders to promote employee engagement efforts.
•Partner effectively with core HR units including HR Compensation, Employment, Training and Development, Employee Relations, and Enterprise Learning to proactively identify and communicate support required to meet project deliverables, removing barriers and identifying creative solutions.
•Contribute to overall HR goals and initiatives focused on meeting UK Strategic Plan goals.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Must understand healthcare both operationally and financially and be able to speak to the business of healthcare. Must have significant professional knowledge in Human Resources. Collaboration, customer service, relationship building, as well as confidentiality, honesty and integrity are core competencies for the position. The successful candidate must also possess strategic thinking, change management, planning and organizing and effective project management skills; strong attention to detail, oral and written communication and IT skills also required.
