Job Summary

Work with Garden Manager in activities of garden season including planting, watering, hoeing, shoveling, laying down row cover, weeding, transplanting, harvesting, cleaning and delivering produce to kitchens, cleaning tools and equipment, and any other activities required to maintain the organic garden. Work locations include Bowdoin gardens at 52 Harpswell Street and South Street.

Education/Skills Requirements

Applicants must possess the ability to quickly understand verbal and/or written directions and follow them with minimal oversight; flexibility, patience, an able body, and lots of energy; and the ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

No prior gardening knowledge or experience is necessary, though preference will be given to applicants who have gardening experience.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Hours and days are flexible with some weekend coverage.
