Financial Aid Counselor

The primary purpose of the Office of Financial Aid is to provide financial assistance to students and help remove the financial barriers in obtaining an education. It is the University's goal to help each student attend UNC Asheville if that is his or her wish regardless of financial difficulties. Providing information and guidance to interested groups and individuals allows these people to successfully complete the Financial Aid process. This Financial Aid Counselor position will use a high level of professionalism, knowledge, and problem-solving which supports the office by managing specific areas of federal, state and institutional aid.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree. Experience with Banner Financial Aid is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal), listening, and problem-solving.
