Degree and area of specialization:
No Degree required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Three or more years managing a large multi-unit operation/restaurant required.
Cost analysis, profit and loss business concepts, inventory control and invoicing procedures.
Effective supervisory techniques including hiring and training methods, work scheduling and evaluation of staff.
Excellent management and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse work environment.
License or Certificate:
Must have an Owner/Operator Bartender and ServeSafe Certification or be able to obtain within six months of hire.
Position Summary:
This position will responsible for management of a highly complex food operation that includes three concepts: Asian, pizzeria and freshly-made sandwiches and salads to order. This position will lead and direct the Food Service management team for Union South's Kiosk unit, with budgeted annual sales of $1.6 million. The position is responsible for overall management of the three units, sales, customer satisfaction and food safety.
Additional Information:
Physical Requirements: Long periods of standing and walking on hard floors. Ability to move food carts weighing up to 500 pounds. Lift pans weighing up to 30 pounds, out of a cart and place on serving line. Carry, change out and stack 1/2 barrels of beer weighing 150 pounds.
Primary Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:30 pm with additional hours and weekends based on operational needs. Required to work all Saturday Badger Bashes for home football games, as well as other special events.
