Human Resources (HR) Assistant



HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ASSISTANT, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo), to work closely with the manager of organizational and administrative services on employee onboarding/offboarding, recruiting support, records maintenance, and other office operations/procedures. Recruiting responsibilities include managing application information in PeopleFluent, reviewing and managing incoming emails and general recruiting inquiries, scheduling candidate interviews, maintaining recruiting information and statistics, and coordinating occasional candidate travel/lodging and reimbursements. On/offboarding duties include coordinating new hire orientation and schedule; creating and updating personnel files; submitting requests for new employee email, systems access, telephones, computer, etc.; ensuring work space is ready for occupancy; and providing exit materials, coordinating exit interviews, and collecting pertinent equipment. Will also respond to questions regarding HR policies and practices, systems, and benefits; handle employment verifications, invoices, and HR data audits; organize ongoing events; contribute to the rewards and recognition committee; identify process improvements; maintain telephone list, floor plans, and employee profiles; assist with office moves; reconcile expense reports; provide ad hoc reception coverage; and assist with special projects.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least three years' administrative support experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; highly effective collaboration and customer service skills; demonstrated analytical, planning, organizational, and process management skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask and resolve complex problems in a thorough and timely manner with minimal supervision; flexibility when handling changing priorities; discretion and appropriate judgment with highly sensitive and confidential matters; team orientation; proven ability to interface with all levels of staff; self-motivation; and willingness to suggest and follow up on improvements/refinements to improve overall effectiveness. Bachelor's degree and HR experience preferred. Job #14678-5
