Job Summary:

Financial Specialist Senior position supports the School of Pharmacy (SOP) and its on-going efforts to coordinate and manage travel activities for faculty, staff, students and related guests. The person in this position will serve as the school's alternate for select units and co-approver for e-Reimbursement activities; provide support in the management of SOP purchasing and Purchasing card (Pcard) activities; manage external and internal research billing and chargeback operations; and managing school wide telecommunications and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) operations. The individual will need to possess outstanding customer service skills as well as highly adaptable problem-solving, analytical, and interpretation skills. The position requires the understanding and application of the University and State's travel, purchasing, and accounting policies and procedures. Duties are performed under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Administration.

The School of Pharmacy consists of four divisions, six centers and institutes and multiple administrative units and operates under a central administration model. SOP annual expenditures total over $25 million, consisting in part of State allocations, extramural funds, revenue producing activities, outreach, and UW-Foundation gift funds. The Business Services Office serves the needs of approximately 300 faculty, staff and graduate students.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-2 years of e-reimbursement and purchasing experience required.

Schedule Comment:

Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 4:30pm, with flexibility available. Schedule will be determined upon hire.
