Physical Requirements The essential job functions of this position require: communicating effectively; building positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds; abiding by University guidelines; maintaining confidentiality; prioritizing and managing work effectively; providing exceptional customer service; perform work in a sedentary position; report to meetings at different locations both on campus on off campus; interact with individuals from various levels throughout the university.
Shift Primarily days with core hours from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend and/or evening hours may be required upon occasion and/or as workload demands.
Job Summary The HR Manager for Work-Life provides guidance, leadership, and supervisory support to HR Work-Life team as well as provides consultation to employees and managers (one on one and in a group setting) on various work-life tools, programs, tactics, and services in support of the continuous improvement of work-life at the University. Consultation includes a range of employee assistance program topics as well as telework and flexible work, reduced seasonal work, lactation support, etc. This role will collaborate with HR Director Employee Engagement and Work-Life, HR Work-Life team, and other HR leadership to coordinate and promote Work-Life programs including: mental health programming, Big Blue Family Care (student babysitting service) and back up child care program, Summer Camps Fair, Reduced Seasonal Hours, Virtual Dementia Tours, caregiving workshops/lunch and learns. Promotion efforts include, but are not limited to, ensuring marketing and promotion materials are drafted and submitted to HR Communications Officer for regular HR communication mechanisms, making presentations to leadership groups, building relationships with key partners across campus, etc. The HR Manager/Work-Life will also identify, evaluate, and recommend other potential programs to enhance existing services.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Work-life professional knowledge, especially knowledge of professional mental health care services and/or Employee Assistance Programs.

Preferred Education/Experience Prefer degree in O/I Psychology, Human Resources, business, management or related field and related experience in an institution of higher education (college or university) with exposure to healthcare/clinical practices.
